2nd and 3rd week of Lent

We have finished another week of Lent and we are now journeying into the third week of Lent. Let us ask ourselves this question. Are we already in the desert with Christ? Or are we still in the comfort of our homes? It is surprising to see that many Catholics are still in their comfort zone, afraid of journeying into the desert to be tested. Somehow, we must come to realize that in Lent, we need to make sacrifices. We too need to venture into the desert as Christ did. 4odays of fasting, no food and drinks:It is by fasting do we keep ourselves from temptation. And it is also by fasting that we are able to further contemplate on Christ's sufferings. When was the last time we thought about the crucified Christ? Luckily this is Lent and we spend time meditating on the Way of The Cross. It is important for us, Roman Catholics, to put the Crucified Christ in the center of our lives. Therefore, as a sinner, I would like to urge everyone to further carry the cross and follow Christ as we follow in his footsteps to the cross.
